  • 10:30 @brianwisti For a second I thought you were knitting while driving... #
  • 14:10 Finding it ironic that 1.5 wks. before beginning Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, we have Port-au-Prince Magnitude 7.0 every day on the news. #
  • 14:11 Thinking I'm going to donate $50 to the Red Cross. I've been wanting to start tithing, but didn't know whom to, and that's a good start. #
  • 14:14 More generally, does anyone have any ideas for whom I could make a regular tithing to? #
  • 23:42 @elliewix ...somehow I thought you'd say something like that. ^^; What time? #
  • 23:46 @elliewix Actually, I found what looks like a local equivalent of MLC, so I might try volunteering there one night a week. #
  • 00:16 Why DOES Al wear that apron? #
  • 00:17 @lugia222 How is that even a question? Unless you have a shit-ton of homework to do or need sleep NAO. #
  • 00:37 Somehow Winry's boobage seems more pronounced in her winter jacket than in that tube top. Still not as bad as Inoue Orihime's, though. #
  • 00:49 Since when do people torrent DRMed files? WTF. I want my Grey's!!! #
  • 00:56 Oh, random bit: since HagaRen:FA ep. 39 finished DLing after FUNi's release, I actually watched paid ads for my viewing this week! Go me! #
  • 01:40 Ch. 106 of Monte Cristo was the most captivating I can remember. Kind of left me in awe. The narrator's acting surely helped. #
  • 02:01 Fell miserably off my resolution bandwagon, but jumped back on this evening 75+2x50 c., 3x10 p., and brushed my teeth. I WILL RUN TOMORROW! #
  • 02:01 Which reminds me, I need to write that monthly letter to Oma and Opa soon. #
  • 02:37 Having trouble convincing myself that supplies are only an expense when they are used. Starting to get it, though. #

I might have watched Port Au Prince Magnitude, hehe. Seriously, though, the turnoff of Tokyo Mag 8.0 for me is that you know it's going to be more thinly veiled atom bomb angst, and that has about the same effect on me that people always bringing up 9/11 here does. It's so goddamn self-pitying, like they/we are the only ones who've ever suffered a disaster. It's 9/11, it's Hiroshima and Nagasaki every day in most of the rest of the world.

Fucking atom bomb angst. Like I don't get enough of it on the NHK news.
But why are you so sure that's the case? I mean, if it is a self-pitying series, I'd at least give them the benefit of the doubt and call it "extremely densely populated city in a geologically active area" angst.
