  • 11:58 @baranoneko So now that Dr. Torres has her job back, does that make her an ex-ex-convict? And if so, does that mean she's an actual convict? #
  • 20:47 I really need to kick this long-ass nap habit. At least tonight it was only (?) two hours. #
  • 21:32 Oh wow, I'm gonna have "Shuuchishin" stuck in my head for a while... #

  • 22:43 There's nothing like accidentally pouring tea DIRECTLY ONTO YOUR STOMACH. Or, through a very thin shirt, anyway. #
  • 23:22 *laughs* I love how Ryuuji can just make these... signs... and Taiga knows *exactly* what he's trying to say. Naka ga ii (?) ne. #

Where'd you get MtH and Chiko from? I missed this week cause I'm in Michigan, and got the missing eps of Toradora from John, but missed those two shows.

Watching your guys (the Illini) face off with the SPARTAAAAAAANS on TV right now. Are you?

Awesome, thanks for the torrents.

And that's too bad, was hoping to troll you a bit. Illini are getting their asses handed to them.

Ten isn't the most usual age for getting one's first period, but it's not so early as to be a sign of weird developmental problems. One of my friends got her first period in third grade or so.

Isn't that kind of a recent phenomenon, puberty that early in women, though? Like, I'm inclined to believe it has something to do with the crazy shit we let get put in our food and our environment. I'm sure pumping livestock full of hormones couldn't possibly affect our food, you know?

Average age for onset of puberty in girls has been creeping downward quite a lot over the past century; I don't know if there's any particular evidence that not eating organic everything has anything to do it, but there's very good evidence that abundant nutrition DOES. Getting plenty of calories and not suffering from any significant vitamin or mineral deficiencies as a kid tends to speed up the body's decision to start devoting energy to getting reproductive systems started; famine conditions tend to delay it. The vast majority of a large population consistently getting enough to eat throughout childhood (or even too much to eat) is a fairly modern invention.
