Gah! Bad Eden of the East - bad! That ending was... gah! I mean, not a cliffhanger per se, other than recognizing the fact that he's probably run out of money. But yeah, if that movie is just a retelling and doesn't give us a real conclusion... *tears out my hair*
In the end, though, I feel like the series didn't quite live up to its potential. Not sure why, though. I originally had this series at an 9/10, thinking it might go to 8 or 10, but in the end I bumped it down to 7. I may end up bumping it back up after re-watching the series.
I have to wonder why ALL the NEETs were men. Is the percentage of woman NEETs really that low? And why were they all clean-shaven?

I'm reserving judgment until I see the movies which, judging by their titles, seem to be continuations rather than retellings.

Yeah, that was another element that might revise my review of the series, but I still feel like I'll have too re-watch the whole thing in a more at-once fashion to really say. The titles make me think it'll be a continuation too, but I'm still not entirely clear.
