Three Sisters Phenom

On lake superior there is a phenomenon presumed unique to Lake Superior Storms involves giant, sequential waves. The first wave hits the ship's deck, the second crashes again before any back-wash can clear, allowing the third to overload the ship with up to 5,000 tons of water. It killed the Edmund Fitzgerald.
