random procrastinative shit

tsukikageOkay, you know what? I really need to watch Bokurano. 'cuz, yeah. I've been wanting to watch it for how long now? *bumps it to "Currently Watching" status on MAL as a reminder*
Spent about 90 minutes today practicing kanji while listening to the last of my podcasts. In other words, procrastinating. BUT. I am determined to finish this God-damn mother fucking assignment TONIGHT. Because, seriously.
Actually, I'm thinking of setting a goal for myself of finishing the whole course before my next shift (9:45-2 on the 8th). Hypothetically a student should be able to do that - one credit's worth of material in one week. But I have to admit, although it's unclear how much of my problem finishing this course is procrastination and how much of it is the amount of reading and right-braining required, I still think I'm glad I decided to go with IDL for my lit. credit, since even with perfect discipline I can't imagine myself doing very well in this class at a normal pace, least of all if I was taking another 10 credits with it.
And completely unrelated, I had a short discussion with my dad today about the meaning of "ship" (in the fandom sense), and he told me it wasn't a word and I wasn't respecting the English language. Which is something I never expected to hear from him. ^_^; Fandom can coin new words if they want, even if they are jargon! (Although to be fair, I don't think there's a layman's equivalent to "ship".)
[EDIT: Aw, dammit. I just downloaded the last ep. of Soul Eater from Aasasubs while I wait for Tsubaki-Hatsuyuki's to come out, and only after the episode finishes downloading do I realize that it's in HD. Poop.]
[EDIT 2: Watched the last episode of Soul Eater online, and yeah, I have to agree with the internets... That was... Disappointing. Quite. :(
Actually, the more I think about it, the more frustrated I am. Like, I find myself not-quite-desperately hoping that that was a dream, and when I wake up I'll get to see the real last episode.
My comment on the MAL discussion for this episode:
Okay, I could buy Maka turning into a weapon because of the Black Blood that she got from Soul, but I'm pretty much with everyone else on the courage + normal punch = demon god explodes. That was B.S. Plus the fact that it just went "they win, comment on the blue sky and needing to rebuild the city, cue credits". There was really no sense of closure at all. Just... *sighs* (Oh, and I forgot: gotta love how all the people who were 200% K.O.d were able to just stand up and be all genki-schmenky.)
Final episode gets a burn it, series as a whole gets a crackers.
P.S. NOT ENOUGH ANGST! WHERE'S THE ANGST ALL THE OPs AND EDs PROMISED ME?!?!]
