screw that shit
Mar. 23rd, 2009 10:44 pmYou know what? Fuck it. I've been trying to challenge myself by choosing a discussion question that encompasses the whole book
“The play is chiefly concerned with two enduring human illusions – the pastoral ideal, or the dream of a simple life, and the ideal of romantic love” (Gilman, page lxiv). Trace one of these ideas throughout the play, paying special attention to the range of contrasting attitudes shown by different characters.
but at this point I'm just being stubborn.
I'm gonna switch to this one:
Gilman writes "...time and life are apprehended differently by different persons and differently by one person according to his condition of life and state of appetite" (page lxix). Select one of the many dialogues in the play and explicated it according to the viewpoints of the speakers.
That should be far easier.
But really, I need to be able to handle questions like the former if I'm ever going to get through college, especially with any sort of liberal arts degree.
(BTW, as I noted in my previous entry, both of these questions are to be answered in 400-800 words. Which really isn't that long.)
Now to pick a dialogue.
OMG, I need this shirt!
Although it would be even better if it didn't say "- Light Yagami" on it.
