I just finished making... 10 or 11... onigiri. Ate two already, one that turned didn't get wrapped properly, and one for the heck of it once I finished cleaning the kitchen. I think I spent around 3 hours in the kitchen today doing various tasks. Feels like a waste of time, but at least I have tomorrow's lunch prepared (and got through a bunch of podcasts, too). I should also make another batch tomorrow in preparation for the SBAM (Spring Break Anime Marathon, a MAS thing). I have to open Thursday and my end time is "TBA", but hopefully I won't miss too much. :-/ Although, truth be told, I can imagine myself just coming home after work and deciding it's not worth going to if I already missed so much of it, despite the decidedly informal format of the SBAM.
Oh, I should also mention that I found my large tea strainer that I've been missing for the past two days. I tried just putting the leaves directly in the pot and straining them as I poured the tea into my thermos, but that was... an experiment I don't want to repeat. Especially for the second brew. Anyways, turns out the strainer was sititng in my rice cooker in the cupboard above the fridge.

On a tangent, would you like some free loose-leaf tea? I have some Pu-erh tea sitting around in my cupboard which I am not terribly partial to, and would like to see sent to a good home. :)

I haven't tried much Pu-erh, but I'd be glad to give it a shot anyway.

I suspect this batch is fairly low-grade - I'm usually reasonably happy with the stuff Teavana carries, but this has some off-flavors to it. They're not all that intense, though, and the basic flavor of the stuff is very much "Chinese restaurant tea", which in and of itself I like.
