[EDIT: So, some previews of the new Hikki album are up. It's very R&B (especially Taking My Money Back), and I have to admit... I'm not really an R&B person. And the album's way too sexual for my tastes (Dirty Desire). :( *crosses my fingers for a Kremlin Dusk or Exodus '04 among the batch* I'm honestly a bit torn between wanting this album to do really well and her continuing to make English albums in this vein, or, well, not have to suffer through more of this style. (God forbid I *gasp* stop being such a one-track fan that I have to get, or at least download, everything she puts out.) And yet, upon finding out that the Japanese version of the album has two extra remix tracks, I'm still planning on buying the Japanese version.]

Despite the lack of English fluency, its lack of weeaboo flavor is refreshing, and I'm not even big into hip-hop. Welcome to what the rest of the West is listening to.

Really? Like, I wouldn't put it past even a native English speaker (which she is) to make English flubs when one's primary country is non-English speaking, but I would have at least expected someone to look over her lyrics to make sure there weren't any problems... Beyond which, I didn't notice any problems myself. Can you point me at them?
As for "rest of the West", I like my KS95-type fare, thankyouverymuch. Although I suppose that could be what you meant by "rest".
