tsukikageAt my sister's bugging I finally got around to requesting a digital converter box for my TV today. It's supposed to be mailed out on the 16th, and then I suppose I'll pick one up at Best Buy as soon as I can afford it.
I had a blast with my sister and two older cousins (Aaron and Andrea) last night. First Alana, Andrea, and I met up at Musashi and Alana and I had dinner (Andrea had eaten already). Funny thing is, Andrea questioned me about flirting with the bartender, and I asked if I really was and she said I was, but Alana said she didn't think so. I think I'm just a naturally flirty person, or something... Like, my natural state when I'm not being shy is what many would interpret as flirting? I dunno. Anyways, despite my thinking that the guy was too old for me anyway, only after Andrea mentioned that it started sticking in my brain, and I was actually disappointed when nothing came of it. Damn it, Andrea, it's all your fault! ^_^; Later she pointed out that even if he was interested, it was a situation where I would have had to initiate, which really isn't my style.
Anyways, after that the three of us went to Gameworks where Andrea treated us to a round of bowling, which was fun. Alana beat 100, and I think Andrea and I got somewhere around 50, though I remember Andrea beat me. I seriously suck at bowling (50% or so of my rolls are gutter balls), although I managed to get at least one spare. That's where the Dragostea Din Tei remix I voice posted about yesterday started playing.

Aaanyways, Aaron met us and we went to Lyon's Pub and hung out there for two hours drinking various drinks and eating popcorn. Had lots of fun and embarassing conversations. Good times were had.
So, it's New Year's Eve, and I really have nothing to do tonight. It's kind of depressing, but I don't mind too much except for the nagging feeling that somehow not partying it up tonight is the same as letting my life slip by. ^^; But instead of that I'm going to clean my room and the kitchen a bit, but mostly just catch up on homework. Maybe do some personal reading, too. (I finally started reading Final Exam: A Surgeon's Reflections on Mortality again. I think I'm the only person who reads it though and finds the descriptions of crazy med school life as interesting as the actual reflections on mortality. Then again, I've always been crazy.
Anyways, I suppose I should also consider whether I want to make any resolutions this year. I've kind of turned against them, as I NEVER manage to keep a single one of them, but goodness knows there are enough things I need to work on.
Capital One is continuing to piss me off. At this point, I'm definitely accepting recommendations for people's preferred credit card companies.
Mrff, I should get off my but soon and actually do that cleaning I was talking about... Maybe after I finish this act.
[EDIT: Oh yeah, two things I forgot.
First, I thought I had another spindle of DVDs, but it turns out I don't, so now I either have to go out and buy some or wait until I work on Saturday to get some. Boo.
Second, boo to FUNimation, but you all know why. Seriously, I would not be so disappointed if it weren't for the whole C&D situation.]
