How does this even make sense?
Somehow I get the feeling that Netflix suggests movies purely by broad genres, such as "anime". Which is funny considering that they have subdivisions of the anime genre.
To be fair, though, from what I remember of Hare + Guu I did enjoy it.

I think they do it partly by genre, and partly by some convoluted algorithm that feeds on statistics from what other users who gave those movies high marks have given high marks to .

You know, you're probably right. And that would probably make more sense than just listing another anime comedy if you like one anime comedy.
