Screw the fact that I already have a perfectly attractive artbox for the series and own the soundtrack and all but one of the DVDs: is this not a gorgeous box? I mean, sure, maybe the strange construction is a little... Weisman-ish... But I love the colors and images they used.
And man do I wish they had released the second OST stateside... I'm going through the mp3s Alex gave to me now and adding them to my iTunes library.
LJ needs a "greedy" mood.
Unrelatedly, I ended up picking up the latter half of one of my co-worker's shift today, since he had forgotten to ask Jim for time off for his cousin's wedding and I figured I could use the extra hours. Unfortunately, I was close to hitting OT hours, so rather than straight-up gaining six hours, my co-worker is going to pick up four hours of my shift this coming Friday, so I'm only gaining two. Still, I was glad to help, even if I kind of wanted to go home and sleep. ^^; The other downside was it screwed over the TokiKake plans with my parents, but depending on how they're feeling when I get home from work tomorrow (which will probably be around 7), we might be able to watch it then. I'll also be watching Hellboy, which my parents rented from Netflix and my dad seemed to enjoy. Apparently it's by the same director that did Pan's Labyrinth.
After talking with my uncle on the phone today, it looks like I'll be taking at least Zack (Zach? I should really know how his nickname is spelled...) and Ezra to Underwater Adventures as their Christmas present. Geoff seemed to not have a problem with the idea of me taking them on the bus, but Kendra'll call me tomorrow and let me know what she'd like to do. Honestly, I'd love to go alone with the two of them, or to go with Geoff and/or Kendra. I can't imagine Mathilda (Matilda? again, I should know this) would come along at her age, and I don't think Grandpa can watch her with his level of vision, so if Geoff or Kendra come along it'll probably be just one of them.

[EDIT: Ugh, I just realized something. How do you give a 3- and 6(?)-year-old a "coupon for something fun in the future" for Christmas? Hopefully Ezra's too young to be disappointed, and maybe Zack's old enough to understand, but... *remembers the story I've been told about wanting a "real present" when Dad refurbished a child's desk for me at around that age* (It's amazing how things like that can still make you feel ashamed of yourself.) Maybe I should get them something small for Christmas itself and just go out with them for the sake of going out with them.]
