Multi-Touch Interfaces
Jun. 1st, 2008 06:41 pmI don't like this whole touch-screen revolution. I don't want to be getting my monitors all scratched or oiled up. :(
I guess if they have good replaceable film options to cover the operating surfaces...
Never went into the Apple Store yesterday (I've been going to bed and waking up earlier, but I guess not earlier enough), but my iPod is close to being completely out of batteries (I can only feel it spin for a fraction of a second, and it's very light), so I'll probably plug it into my computer late tonight or first thing tomorrow.
[EDIT: Yays - Fushigi Yuugi marathon, part 2 this Friday from 5:30 to 11:30. :) I should read some episode summaries as review for the episodes I slept through before then.]

Date: 2008-06-02 02:18 am (UTC)I have an iPod nano that I quite like - it's the older one, no video. I have to look at it to choose the initial playlist, but once that's done, the click wheel is feelable, so I can easily fast forward, reverse, pause, change volume, etc while it's in my pocket.
The one kinda peeve about the modern clickwheel is that it's like a laptop touchpad, you have to scroll with a bare finger. In winter, that can get annoying - but I have a glove with just the tip of the right thumb cut out :)
