SUP Fails

LJ killed basic accounts.
This almost makes me want to leave LJ all together and go back to Diaryland or something. But I already have too much going on here.
So, so, so pissed.
I'll probably write a letter this weekend, since it's spring break and all.

*huffs*

I always wondered how they expected to make money from those. It sucks, but I can't say I blame em.

Well, there's some argument as to whether it was a good business decision for them as well.

Basic accounts make them no money. Even plus accounts make them money. The only argument for basic accounts is that they might lure people into plus or paid accounts. I figure any losses they take from alienating a few whiners who apparently weren't aware that LJ is a for-profit enterprise will be more than made up for by all new users having ads on their sites.
