another quickie

tsukikageKay, quick post before I dig in to my two homework assignments that are due tomorrow that I haven't even started yet, the first of which is due at 9:45.
- Spicy Guacamole Pringles aren't bad at all.
- I think I've realized that I need to move away from written worksheets as much as possible in my ESL class unless I'm specifically working on literacy. My only worry is that by not constantly practicing reading I'll be making it that much harder for them to improve their literacy, but... Plus, I did one activity today that didn't require any literacy (order the pictures so that they form a story), and they were having a lot of trouble with that too, although when I started guiding them more... I'm seriously not enjoying this internship anymore. Or rather, it stresses me out far more than I enjoy it, and I've started getting in the mindset where I want to call in sick (but I won't). In any case, tutor training is Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday next week, so hopefully that'll help a lot. (Disturbingly enough, I kind of hope it doesn't help so I don't have to feel as bad for not having made it to the session a month ago.)
- The next two weeks are going to be crazy busy, especially with the extra hours I picked up at work to make up for Mori no Ike and other stuff, the two midterms I have, and tutor training.
- My room managed to turn from very clean to very messy since Wednesday night, and esp. since Sunday night, so I really need to clean up before I let it get unmanageable.

P.S. Highlight of the day was definitely winning TESL exam review Jeopardy with the "question to the final answer" being "What is purple?" because we had no fucking clue since no-one else did but we were they only group to not wager all of our points. Second-best highlight was our group being named "Skip us for now" because that's what we told them to do. Third being probably getting 100% on the quiz today (basically everything was straight out of the Jeopardy questions).
