- EXILE's performance... Maybe they're always like this, but fur-lined leather jackets with skulls on the back while singing a sweet love ballad.
- Whee, I recognized my first ハーフ: ウエンツ瑛士 (Wentz Eiji) of WaT is half German-American and half Japanese. I knew he looked like a 白人.
- Hee, Angela Aki got a sakura petal stuck to her glossed lip in the middle of her performance. I only noticed when she picked it off at a moment she wasn't using her right hand.

Does anyone have any recommendations for keeping track of spending? I was thinking of setting up an Excel file, but besides my lack of proficiency with the program (although I can stumble around fairly well), I'm just not sure how I want to set things up.
I want to be able to divide my spendings into different types (food, snacks, school supplies, manga/anime, etc.), [this part incomplete]

Yep. He doesn't like that he's half white, since he looks weird.

I remember reading about that the first time (looked him up after seeing an interview in a magazine) and sympathizing, and thinking, in my case there's no "you look sort of odd" no, I am 100% foreign. Which in some cases is worse, but other cases, it's not ambiguous, so maybe better. Sorta. I mean, there's no doubt, I'm 100% foreign, even if people want to believe otherwise due to odd ideas about language.

I don't know. I've always hated my looks. But surely there's more involved. :D

The lip thing - good move, I thought. I would probably make some horrid spitting scene, but then, I am not in the 芸能界 with experience...

Eric and I use a google document to track our spending. It's a lot like an Excel sheet, but it's stored online in case of computer issues. You can have multiple pages and stuff.

American (generically white), grew up in Japan, moved back to the US. So, there is no chance anyone would ever look at me and think I might be Japanese. It's not a matter of "if only my hair were darker" or "can people tell I have foreign background?" sort of thing. I don't look "slightly different" I look like a foreigner, period, so there's no question of "passing" or not. Sometimes people who "almost fit in" worry about it, whereas if you are crazy different, it's not worth worrying.

I'm not any sort of dual citizen either, so there's no question of "what side of the line I fall on" or anything either.

Odd thing is, I DO get asked if I'm half, but I think it's from body language and (particularly by older people, in the past) because I speak Japanese.

When I was in high school one girl (100% Japanese) started dyeing her hair reddish. At that time it just wasn't done. So after a while, some people started saying maybe she was half-foreign, or part foreign, whatever. It was a "wow, cool, maybe...?" but no one just came out and asked, they all just wondered and wondered. With me, there's definitely no wondering. :)
