More about the Riemermanns.
Nov. 25th, 2007 08:26 pmI did a google search for "Riemermann". 98% of it is either me or my dad. Of the remaining 2%, about 50% was random spam, 50% was some random German thing (apparently my dad (hey, he is "J. Riemermann") wrote a book on... a psycho-pedagogical approach to contemporary amorality... in 1947), and I found one thing that was a post Alana made for one of her classes.
Actually, after bringing this up with my dad, he reminded me that I'd be able to find some more hits under "Riemerman" (my grandpa's name got changed to "Riemerman" when he came to the states, and two of his three sons, including my dad, changed their own names back to "Riemermann"). So I found significantly more entries that time, all of which were either my grandma or my uncle. ^^;
I also asked my dad about our family in England (i.e., the family of my grandpa's brother), and it turns out they're all Eisners because my grandpa and his brother were actually half-brothers.
This is all making me think that beyond me not wanting to change my own name when I grow up, I'm gonna have to make sure my kids are Riemermanns, too, because there are currently four Riemermanns (and no Riemermans) in my generation (with one more on the way), and at least two of them (Alana and I) are girls.
