tsukikage: (PGSM - Ami crying)

Damn it!!!!! I just knocked my absolutely favorite teapot that I've had for maybe three years now off my desk and broke it into about 10 pieces. Even if I could super glue it back together, it probably wouldn't be safe to drink out of anyway. You guys probably think this is really silly, but I am seriously crying about this so much that it's giving me a headache, and wishing so badly that I could turn back time. I kind of want to throw away the two matching cups just so I don't have to think about it every time I use one.

I'm gonna try calling mom tomorrow and asking her where she found it so I can try to replace it, but I probably won't have any luck...

And I thought spilling Pepsi all over my desk and keyboard was bad. I guess it just goes to show you that actions need to be taken slowly and deliberately or you'll end up making careless mistakes.

How to deal with teapot (or any other sentimental material) loss:

1) Replace it with a similar-functioning, but better teapot. Don't buy the same one unless it really is the best on the market. If you do buy a such teapot, you will not only quickly adjust to it, but over time congratulate yourself for making the "upgrade".
2) Don't throw away the cups. You'll regret it later, as a half (or a tenth or thousandth) is definitely better than none.

Cheer up :D

Excellent advice. :) There actually is a teapot I've been wanting for a long time, but since it costs $160, I've been putting it off indefinitely. There's a smaller version (22 oz., vs. 40 oz.) for $64.95 which I might go ahead and get, though, since I already have a large porecelain pot. Still, I loved how simple the one I broke was - it was unadorned black stoneware - which makes the concept of "upgrading" it seem a bit silly.
