Sailor Moon prices are insane

Oh God... Sailor Moon is getting so expensive. I knew I should have bought them while they were still in print.
Just pulling a random example out of Amazon's hate. Sailor Moon S, vol. 4? Used from $49.99, new from $74.95. That's a SINGLE DVD.
On eBay, volume 1 of the Stars manga has a current bid of $76.00. Again, for a SINGLE VOLUME.

It's crazy, isn't it? I'm lucky I got as much as I did *when* I did, but my collection still isn't complete - I still am missing (surprise, surprise) Stars Vol 1 for the manga, and Seasons S and SS. I figure I'll just buy the whole season when I find a decent *not* bootlegged copy.

I'm pissed that Tokyopop and Pioneer/Geneon dropped the licenses. Obviously people still want it, judging from the prices.

Yeah...at that point, when it's out of print, and not comin' back, and costs $76 a shot? I'd strongly consider heading in the bootleg direction.

I had a hell of a time finding the Pioneer versions of the movies but I finally did last year and they were not cheap.

I spent about $320 on a full set of the English Manga though....$76.00 is a rip on that.

I have been thinking of selling my artbooks, as I have all but the Infinity in hardback and my Petit figures as I have all of them even a Saturn that someone made (since she was never produced).

I don't know how much I spent on all the DVD's but it was a lot. The price is one of the reasons it took me so ling to get Fushigi Yugi. That is also uber expensive.
