Well, I've kinda settled into anti-semitism in Minneapolis (the Twin Cities?) in the first half of the 20th century as my research paper topic. I find it slightly amusing that I'm writing about something that happened in the city I live in. Looking at resources at the U of MN, there was one resource entitled "An historical overview of anti-Semitism in Minnesota, 1920-1960--with particular emphasis on Minneapolis and St. Paul ", which is absolutely perfect. Only problem? It seems to currently be checked out, due on the day after I'm supposed to submit the rough draft of my paper for peer review. I did put in a recall request, but that's still no guarantee that the person who has it won't need it until it's too late. Also, the call number is "MnU-D 77-151". Does that D stand for Duluth? *bites my lip* I really don't have time to deal with both a recall and inter-library loan.
In any case, I'm going to the Minnesota Historical Society tomorrow for an hour-long class on how to use their library, but then... Well, I'm kinda sorta supposed to go to lunch with my family tomorrow, but after tomorrow the library isn't open again until Tuesday, so I told Ann I'm gonna skip that and just stay at the library until they close at 4.
I really should come up with a thesis tonight, but I'm kinda research paper-ed out, and I'd say coming up with a topic and a list of resources and their call numbers at the MNHS library ain't bad. Now for Japanese. ^^; (Maybe I'll throw some cleaning in, too.)
