I'm having a lot of trouble sleeping right now. After being slightly sleep deprived last night, I laid down for a nap around 6 and slept until about 10:30. For the sake of my sleep schedule I wish I had slept through the night, but so be it. So I get up, eat some cake, muck around on the computer, play a bit with my graphing calculator... Around 11 or 12 I turned off all but my nightstand lamp and got into bed to read Wicked for a while. A little before two I finished a major section and turned out the light, only to turn it back on twenty minutes later to eat an apple and read for ten more minutes. Then I tried to go back to bed and lock myself down, but again it failed. So now I made myself about 16 oz. of chamomile tea, and I'm gonna play a bit of WoW and see if I can't get to bed sometime before the sun rises.
I think I'm just going to have to suck up getting less than my 10 hours of sleep and get up at 9, then make sure not to lay down until 11 or so. That should help set things right, I hope.
Heh, poor Patrick having to deal with jet lag. He should have been in Paris for an hour though, though he's certainly not in Montpellier yet. (He's supposed to land at 5:50 am central.)
So, speaking of tea... Katie got me some Dragonwell and a really pretty purple mug (which I'm drinking out of right now) for Christmas. Now, not only was I running out of my Dragonwell, but I had forgotten how good fresh Dragonwell smells. I was so happy. ^_^ Then, when Patrick was over Friday night he open the freezer, and guess what happened to be halfway sitting on the door? BOTH of my cans of Dragonwell. My older can stayed shut, thankfully, but the can of fresh stuff opened and spilled probably 2/3 of it onto the floor. :( At the time Patrick told me I should have put it back into the container, but I can't exactly blow off a handful of tea leaves, so I vacuumed it up. It made me quite sad, really...
The silver lining of this is that because of this I was able to transfer all of my Dragonwell into the smaller of the two cans, so I could rinse out the larger and put a bunch of my chamomile in it to help it store longer than in the bag it came in. (Although now that I think back, I might have been able to transfer the Dragonwell anyway... But I don't really want to think about that. Silver linings are good.)
Some time I need to make a list of everything I got for X-mas... I really got some wonderful stuff. :) But I should focus on winding down right now, not straining my memory to remember everything I got.
So, I think I'm gonna wrap myself up in my blanket now and watch an episode of NieA now. Either that, or play WoW. ;-)
I wish I had a TV. Even better, one with cable. *sighs*
