THE END OF THE WORLD IS AT HAND!

I was thinking about all the stuff about the Kingdom of God being upon us, and how every generation from the time of Christ's apostles saying that armageddon would be in their lifetime. Well, here's an idea that I had, and I want to know what people think of it. Maybe all the stuff in the bible about how the end is at hand is about how once we die, our chance at rependtance is over?

I like your interpretation much better than that of the literalists. I don't really agree with the idea in principle because I believe in multiple lifetimes, but as an interpretation, I think it's intriguing.
