Dude! Starting in 2009 the JLPT levels 1 and 2 will be held twice a year! That's pretty sweet. Although in some ways I wonder if it'll make me less motivated to be ready for the test this December if I know I can put it off until July. :-/
That's seriously the biggest silver lining about the school situation - once this semester is over I'll have nothing to worry about but Shakespeare and the 2kyuu. Oh, and work too I suppose. ^_^; I'd like to get back to school sooner rather than later.
Best kanji EVAR!
Western noodles really don't work with soba sauce. Or at least these protein-fortified Western noodles don't. Maybe I'll stop by U.N. on the way to TESL tomorrow, depending on how early I get out of the house.

Umm...
Although it actually is a bit less monotonous than the other such vids I've found, and is pretty funny at about 1:00 - at least if you can read Japanese.
OMG, super cute grinning L!

I got to do one-on-one math tutoring today helping a woman with long division. She had a lot of trouble (she still doesn't have her ones digit times tables anywhere near down, so she has to draw circles or use a chart), but by the end of the two hours she had done a number of problems with single-digit divisors by herself. (I also led her through one problem with a two-digit divisor, but decided she really wasn't ready to do those on her own.)
Funny story - I actually skipped 4th grade math, but that was the year we learned long division, so my step-dad actually taught me how to do long division. :) Roger really is a wonderful guy.
I'm really starting to love "Beautiful World" even more since I went through the lyrics today.
僕の世界消えるまで会えぬなら
君の側で眠らせて どんな場所でも結構
Beautiful world
儚く過ぎて行く日々の中で
Beautiful boy
気分のムラは仕方ないね

(To Japanese-speaking peeps on my f-list, how would you translate 「気分のムラは仕方ないね」? "I guess there's no helping mood swings"?)
Toki o Kakeru Shoujo is going to be screened in a grand total of three theaters in the U.S.: one in Los Angeles, one in New York, and one in Seattle. Bandai, you suck! Oh well, I at least hope this means the DVD will be coming out soon-ish.

If I had a check for 8.7 million dollars? I'd put all but 100,000 in an account I can't access for 5 years while I think out how to not spend it stupidly and use the rest to put myself through college (in a dorm).
And I wouldn't go around telling everyone about how I have lots of money now. ^^;
