Blargh. I lost all 15 hours I was going to work at U.D.S. last week because... Well, I guess because I wrote my name on the schedule on the door rather than talking directly to Meghan about it. Suuuuck.
Ah well. Maybe I can pick up a few extra hours at the bookstore. (I'm doing temp work at the bookstore through the 24th of January, starting with orientation today. Nice thing about it is I don't even have to take 1 credit to work there, so if school falls through, I'll still get to stay.) Meghan also suggesting seeing if there are any catering jobs available, and seeing as I've already dipped my feet into that, it might not be a bad idea.
Man, though, I like this feeling of starting to feel a little bit more in control of my life by getting to bed and getting up at a decent hour and making the first thing I do in the morning fully getting ready for the day. And, as much as I hate to say it, not having the computer on 24/7 is not only part of what helped me with this, but it's also kinda nice to know that I'm actually spending some of my home alone time doing things other than sit on the computer, like reading before bed.
I would, however, like to start keeping up with my f-list better, make more content-ful posts, and watch maybe one more series before break ends. (On that note, I finished episode 7 of Torchwood last night and actually enjoyed the episode quite a bit.) I'd also like to clean my computer a bit. So much that needs sorting and re-naming and re-tagging and burning. I could also use to uninstall a program or two and update the start-up list, maybe finally get around to installing that sound card I was given months ago. (Was it [livejournal.com profile] eurohybrid62's or [livejournal.com profile] idkrash's?)
Anyways, I need to update my Outlook calendar now, so I shall do that.

P.S. I set up a use account for Alana with administrative privileges so she won't have to deal with my backgrounds and such while she's on the computer.

Urgh. Today was definitely longer than it had to be. Why do I have to spend two-and-a-half friggin' hours in Franklin Covey just to buy a stupid planner binder and planner pages? Thankfully, in the end I bought the cheapest of what I was looking at, but I really, really wanted to get this leather wallet/purse/binder combo, but it's $99.95. See, the main concern is that I want something that will fit well in my bag but that has zippered or some other firm closure. And that doesn't cost $100. Well, that basically doesn't exist. And so... A purse that is my binder. That appealed to me. Plus, I spilled milk all over my wallet/purse a while ago, so I wanted either a wallet to put in my current bag or a new wallet/purse, and they don't sell them at Coffman anymore, so this did the trick. But besides the price, it had a lot of small quirks that made it not perfect enough to convince me to spend $100 on it.
In the end, I got the same fat $25 binder I got last time and the $7 cheaper original 2/day planning pages (I miss my Monticello design... :( But I'll get used to this style soon enough, I'm sure.) and a few add-ons, and after a 20% discount and tax I spent $66.84.
I still miss that slim black leather/blue denim binder I got from the Penns, though... ^_^;

And afterwards I got a cup of oolong tea from Teavana, decided not to by a $20 wallet, and decided to skip Barnes and Noble completely.

[EDIT: Ah, good thing I didn't get the wallet/purse/binder. I just got hit with a $33 overdraft fee. (I'm in the black now, though.)]
