Why can't I learn to SAVE MY FILES EVEN WHEN I DON'T THINK I"LL NEED TO?!

I am a royal idiot.
Wednesday morning I have my freewriting for my Japanese essay and I need to go off to school, so I e-mail it to myself and close the (unsaved) file. Apparently I closed the e-mail without sending it or saving it as a draft.
Last night I basically had a rough draft done, so without saving it I leave it to polish a little bit in the morning. When I wake up I find that my computer rebooted overnight.

"Fuck, we're dumbasses."
Or rather, fuck, I'm a dumbass.

第５課の作文：「大学生活」

　私は２００１年の秋学期からＵＭＴＹＭＰという塾で大学単位のための授業を取っていましたのに、たくさんの授業に落ちましたから、今はまだ二年生です。専攻もまだ決めていません。大好きな日本語にしようか、いつか大学の先生にたるために言語学にしようか、卒業してから楽な生活をするためにコンピューターにしようかとよく迷っています。どの専攻を選んでも不安になるかもしれませんが、三つのに全部するわけにはいきません。取り敢えず専攻を気にせず、落ちた授業を取り直した上で指導教授に相談する方がいいかと思います。
　今学期は授業を三つとって、それ以外にアルバイトしたり、ＭＡＳ（漫画アニメ会）に言ったりします。私は比較的に引(いん)っ込(こ)み思案(しあん)なので、ＭＡＳで同じ興味がある人と付き合いできるのは私にとって大切なことです。他の人は部活動にどんな感じをされるでしょうか。

Now to brush my teeth, get dressed, and get ready to go off to my oral interview. Hopefully I'll get a little bit of preparation time in while I'm on the bus?

期末口答試験, a.k.a., sleep is the enemy of good grades

My testament to the fact that, although sleep is very important, studying is far more important than sleep, is growing.
My oral interview I just got out of SUCKED ASS, and I think if I had properly prepared it would have been so much better. Like, I'm thinking I got a C on it.
Blah..

Anyways, all that's left is a two page paper in my native language, so after that I can drown my sorrows in tea and anime, and perhaps (non-alcholic) egg nog if I'm lucky.

Say, anyone up for a NieA_7 or Haibane Renmei (or any other relatively calming 13 episode series, or 2-4 movies, that someone owns on DVD) marathon at my place after finals are over?
