I feel stupid. I was making my Tea of Happiness TM today (a mix of peppermint and Chinese Honeydew White), and for both teas I put in the amount that you would use for one cup of water. In one cup of water.
Needless to say it looked really brown when it was done steeping, but I just transferred it into my teapot and added about another cup of water, so it's all good now. Plus, I got the balance right, which makes me happy. Sometimes I put in too much peppermint, in which case I'm just like "well, that was a waste of the Honeydew White" (which costs three times as much as the peppermint, though I thought at first it was five times).
I can't wait to go to Tea Source and spend my gift card. ^_^
I'm also spending some time looking for carrot cake recipes, but it's kinda hard to find ones that only have ingredients that Pat and I currently have. (He's going to bring some vanilla extract tomorrow and maybe buy some frosting.) A lot of them call for corn syrup or stuff like that...
So, I'm gonna go practice kanji now. Ganbaru wa yo!
