Oct. 3rd, 2005
Rebecca just emerged from her room dressed and about to go out the door. I asked where she was going, and she said she was going out to study.
I wondered if it was because I was studying in the living area, with my own door slightly open so I could hear the music I had playing relatively softly on Winamp, that she felt she had to leave the dorm at 7 a.m. Setting aside the plausible possibility that she would have gone out to study whether I was studying in the living area or fast asleep in my bed, it made me think about the "background radiation conflicts" I'm perceiving. On one hand, I don't want to have any sort of conflicts with her, but on the other, it could be seen as evidence that we're becoming less of strangers to each other, and that's kind of nice.
In any case, I just finished reading chapter 3 of my psych text (I'll probably be posting some quotes from the reading later), but now I think I'm gonna take myself a shower and maybe go get breakfast (if I can get in ><;).

Took a leisurely shower; flossed and brushed my teeth; washed my mouth (with mouthwash, not soap); managed to find some clean (and relatively matching) clothes to wear; ate a full breakfast (scrambled eggs, two slices of bacon, a blueberry pancake, a bowl of granola with raisins and 2% milk, and a few bites of a waffle which I discovered had the U of M "M" on it), got a new UCard... Pretty good start to the day, if I do say so myself. ^_^
I love this song. ^_^

Oct. 3rd, 2005 06:43 pmWell, I finished all the regular quizzes with 10s, and I completed the first essay quiz. As for the second... I clicked on the link just as the clock turned to 6:20. Bah. And you can't take essay quizzes during re-take week, either.
The thing that I'm both glad about and frustrates me (because I didn't realize it earlier) is that as long as you pass the completion and practice quizzes with an 8... You can take them even after 6:20. Which means that if I had just been happy with my 8s and moved on the progress and essay quizzes, I probably would've been able to do the chapter 4 essay quiz, and I wouldn't have had to have been so rushed about the progress quizzes. (I could have actually done more work at work, too!)
Meh. As I say every Monday, it's only one point.
In other news, I'm surprisingly awake right now. I guess that's the internal clock for you. I'd like to go get some dinner right now, but the dining halls close in 10 minutes, so... Shrimp ramen for me! ^_^ (Or maybe I'll even treat myself to mac & cheese - ooh, ahh...) Then I have a bunch of crap to do tonight, and a CC meeting, but I'm gonna make sure to get at least four hours of sleep tonight - preferably more like six. (And the hours I spend awake will be spent WORKING!)
things to do:
- register for the JLPT
- pay people back
- finish loan docs. A.S.A.P.
- all my schoolwork (that's a separate list, of course)
- get school supplies from Office Max
- get a drip tray from target
- get a new bus pass ><;
- find my important documents and get a driver's permit
- get a new TCF check card
- make sure I have access to all the buildings I need access to (including buildings for RHA meetings)
- download any JLPT 4kyuu lists (particularly kanji and vocab) I'll need to study
- CLEAN MY ROOM
- give Pat a big hug 'cuz I love him ^_^
Huh... I just realized that I missed SGMS. Oh well, I guess I'll just save the money I would have spent on that for when I go for credit some year.
Well, I'm off to go home. Yay, home!
