What places in the world match my personality? )

Learned from linguaphiles
Israeli and Israelite both come from the proper name "Israel" (Yisra'el), an alternative name of the Biblical Jacob. "Israel" means "struggles with G-d", and was conferred on Jacob by an angel after he spent all night wrestling with him. The ancient people of Israel called themselves "the descendents of Israel". At one time the ancient nation split into two kingdoms. One kingdom called itself Israel, the other called itself Judea.
Jew is an abbreviation of "Judean". The majority group of the ancient kingdom of Judea was the clan of Judah (Yehudah), who gave the country its name. "Judah" means "praise", or "praise G-d". Members of the clan of Judah were descended from Israel's son Judah. Most of the other Israelites, subjects of the kingdom of Israel, were massacred over the course of various ancient wars. Most Jews today are descendants of Judeans, whose kingdom was destroyed by the Romans almost 2000 years ago.

I never knew that!

Made some progress on my FL today. Quite ironic considering the conversation I had with my dad today, but it's summer still, so I'm sure he doesn't mind.

Night, everyone.

- $60, Dad
- $5, Patrick
- $100.03, T-Mobile (wasn't able to pay my bill last month, so I have to double-up this month)

* milk
* cereal
* rice
- replacing stuff that was in my wallet that I lost (wallet, UCard, driver's permit, check card, credit card (?), B&N card, bus pass (maybe I should lie and say the bus ate it?...))
- graphing calculator
- physics textbook and lab book
- credit card bill
- student account (summer)
- school supplies

Later:
- bento box
- JLPT 4kyuu prep books
- ramen thermos (?)
- tea thermos
- student account (summer)
- credit card bill
- groceries
- set up a savings account
- T-Mobile bill

This isn't a perfect list, but... Blah. I can't wait to find out how much my paycheck is... Too low, I'm sure. Stupid hour cuts (Gary called David about a week ago telling him to make sure no-one's getting overtime).
And today I found out what ムフフなこと means. Uh-huh...

Damn it... Rebecca stopped by and left me a note reminding me not to use her stuff. I used it only out of "desperation", but I should have known better and just dealt without. Gah... I hope this doesn't screw things up between us.
MUST GO SHOPPING TOMORROW!

Well, today was interesting. Got my paycheck (57.5 hours, or $387.81 after taxes - full time or more my butt!), so after paying my T-Mobile bill (yay!), setting up a $100 payment for my credit card, and setting aside the $85 I owe various people, I decided to go grocery shopping with the $114.65 I had left. Of course, I dragged Diana, who had come over to hang out, with me.

So, all of that cost me $111.02, but then they wouldn't accept my check without ID, but between the $101 and change of cash I had with me ($85 of which I owed people) and the $10 I borrowed from Diana, I was thankfully able to pay for everything. But it was a mess, and now I have to withdraw that $95 again to pay everyone (now including Diana).
Once again I find myself praying for payday. Well, I guess there shall be absolutely NO eating that's not from the groceries I bought for a bit.
