I just finished installing Microsoft Office XP pro. Yay for Ruby!!! I also spent some time training in voice recognition (did the intro training and the Aesop's fables once each). Before I did Aesop's it printed "I ended feeding rate know was insane Camilli tight end" when I actually said "I am dictating right now but it's making me feel really tired" - trying it now (post-Aesop) the only error was printing "I'm" instead of "I am". Will do the Oz training tomorrow.
I tried to update to SP-2, but it said "The expected version of the product was not found on your system". Did I install SP-2 right off the bat, or am I stuck with SP-1? Bah!
So, today I woke up around 11:30 (ended up going to bed at 4:30 ><;), and though I wanted to pick up aquarium salt from Petco and pick up
darkjing's camcorder, it was too late. Instead, I left the house at about 1 and went straight to the mall to get my swimsuit that I left at the kiosk and pick up some CD+Rs at Circuit City. I then went to the U to meet up with Patrick. He decided his legs were too sore after lab to go swimming with me, so after laying on the mall (note: the first mall mentioned was the Mall of America, the second mall is section at the University of Minnesota with a large grassy area) for a bit we went to drop off a document (social security verification form - for my financial aid application) at Fraser, drop off a blank CD at the Japanese office, borrow the 1011 CDs (which are now safely ripped onto my computer, never to leave me again) [that is the most Japanese I have spoken in a LONG time], and deposit the random check the U sent me at TCF. Finally, we went to Subway for lunch. For the first time in ever, I didn't get a meatball sub, but rather a turkey sub, with my usual toppings of cheddar, green pepper, cucumbers, and onions (on honey wheat - too sweet for a turkey sub). Pat got some beef sub - don't remember what exactly (ah - the cheese steak sub, he says).
I then walked him to the lot where he was parked, said goodbye, and went off to pick up my shiny new Office XP CDs.
And then, SWIMMING!
But I didn't have a ponytail (or ponytail holder, but I always just call it a ponytail), so I bought a $3 swim cap at the leetle store there. Those things are IMPOSSIBLE to put on! After getting into my swimsuit, I walked to the Cooke 10 pool, which had a sign about "special needs swimming only", and so I assumed I wasn't allowed in (this later turned out to be wrong, but I couldn't have done lap swimming anyway - there was some sort of water aerobics class going on), so I went back to the shower room to wait the fifteen (or so) minutes until the Cooke 15 pool opened. The sauna smells funny, and the steam room smells worse. ><; But at least the steam room had a great echo (which I found out after releasing a loud fart). It was such a good echo, in fact, that I spent my time waiting by reciting the entire Japanese alphabet one at a time, and saying other random stuff, just enjoying the echo. When the Cooke 15 pool opened at 5, I walked down there and swam for an hour, with only about 15 minutes worth of breaks (spent about 7 of those break minutes trying to re-adjust my swim cap, too!). So yeah, I'm very proud of myself. Next time I'm gonna make sure to bring some workout clothes to leave in my locker, and eventually I'm gonna meet with a trainer-type-person to get a workout figured out for me.
So, yeah, the U Rec center makes me happy. ^_^
I think I'm going to go to bed, now, though. I really want to finishing re-naming and re-tagging my Genki mp3s, but I'm too tired, and I need to start making my sleep schedule more sane before Japanese starts.
