tedious cancellation
Jun. 15th, 2005 12:29 pmI FINALLY called Blue Mountain to cancel my subscription (when I attempted to cancel on May 28th, I was sent an automatic response trying to talk me out of it, and giving me a number to call if I still want to cancel it). The guy I talked to then tried to talk me out of it, saying that he could cut my membership cost by $4 or extend my trial by a month. In some ways it was good customer service, since I said the reason I wanted to cancel was so I could save for this summer class. In other ways, it's really rude to not just let you cancel the same way you signed up, and just as hassle-free! They're also giving me a $13.99 refund, since I just received my first bill (or maybe just because I've been billed before?).
Now I need to decide if I want to cancel Rent Anime or World of Warcraft, at least through the summer. And do I want to subscribe to Newtype or Shojo Beat? Money sucks.
Shower time!
