The club's a go!
Kei-kun (a.k.a. Matt, a.k.a. John, the latter being his true name) and I (Vinny had this strange idea that maybe he should be on time for class) went down to the office to ask if the principal had looked at our proposal for the Highland Park Manga and Anime Club (name still pending). She didn't remember looking at it, but she was sure she had, and told us if she had problems with it she would have remembered putting post-it notes on in with whatever questions she had, so... She just said to go ahead. YAY!!!!
So now we gotta make posters and prepare and have a meeting and, and, and...
YAY!!!!!!
I wonder if I could put starting an anime club at my high school on my college applications?
In other news, I was sick yesterday. In Japanese on Monday I was feeling not-so-100%, but I figured I'd be fine until I got home. We were handed our tests, which I proceeded to for the most part breeze through. I was beginning to feel worse, but it was a test, so I had to stay. Just as we began the listening comprehension portion of the test I felt like I needed to throw up, so I just left the room for the nearest garbage.
After it was clear that I wasn't throwing up any time soon I went to the Japanese office and called my dad to pick me up, got my stuff from the classroom, and went outside to wait. As soon as we got home I opened the door and thoroughly emptied my stomach. Yay...
So, went to bed, stayed home from school... Patrick skipped his 6th period class (sub in Film Studies = study hall, apparently) and came over to take care of me. So sweet... And it really did help. Arigato. ^_^
Unfortunately for my math test today, by the end of the day all I had was a headache which wouldn't go away, so I'm at school today. Oh well... At least I'll be able to do my homework over the weekend rather than during the school week. (I didn't have anyone's number in English, though I got Shannon's today, and I can never get a hold of Laura. ^^; )
About the test... I won't be able to totally make up the test (including the postcard I didn't even get to), but the teacher's are making an exception for me to retake the listening portion. Since this is such an exception, though, they're asking me not to tell anyone. I think I can handle that... I'm kinda depressed that this'll bring down my test grade, but hopefully it won't bring my final course grade down to an A-. *crosses fingers*
Gotta study hard.
