update

Ahab passed away last night. Hopefully it wasn't too painful for him, as I doubt it was in his sleep.
I did end up staying with him for about 20 minutes last night, but now I kind of wish it was longer. That I might have been with him when he left.
The parents will be taking him in for cremation later today.

Rest in peace, Ahab.

I'm sorry to hear about this, I'm sure he's happy to rest after being sick. It's always sad to see them go.

Right now I'm honestly in a bit of denial, maybe because he was just gone on with the parents on vacation? Although it was kind of hard to see the kitchen door wide open when I came home, rather than with the glove in the door so he won't come out in the middle of the night like he would always try to do.
