my argument

By putting Jadzia to death, you will not only be putting Dax to death for a crime it may have committed, but you will also be putting Jadzia, who certainly had nothing to do with this murder, to death. That seems enough of an argument for me.

The thing is, if I understand the Trill philsosphy enough...Jadzia has all of the memories of her previous Dax incarnations, so she can take responsibility for something one of her previous incarnations did, so putting "Jadzia" to death for something "Kurzon" did, it would have the same effect.

Certainly "Jadzia Dax" could take responsibility, but it still seems unfair to the woman who decided to become a host; the woman who had nothing to do with either Kurzon or Dax.

but the human woman who would become "Jadzia Dax" knew full well of the Trill "Dax"'s history. It's something that is shared at blending, and it's a burden that both host and symbiote share.

Oh, I didn't realize that she would have known that... In that case, I suppose you're right.

Yeah, both host and symbiote go through a really thorough screening process before being blended. It's not always perfect, but for the most part, complete disclosure is had before anything happens.
