my Mom told me about this

That's my pediatrician. ^_^
I can't believe she's 80 already! I remember, though, how she and my mom always used to speak German in her office... Not when it concerned me significantly, though. At least, I don't think so...
Wow... 80...
I want to talk to her again before she leaves this world.

Nastassja, it's neat to see the article about Dr. Bachmann. I think I mentioned to you before, I ran into her at a get-together of peaceniks at Don Irish's house (from meeting). She loved hearing about you.

Why'd you delete the wonderful translation? It amused me so. It's probably partly because I didn't use enough Chinese characters, though... In any case, it's about Hiroshima (which google so wonderfully translated as "white stripe". I might translate it this weekend.
I'm glad she still remembers me - surely she had a lot of patients... Does she seem to be doing well?

Sorry. At first I wasn't clear that it was your own writing, and then I thought it might look like I was making fun of your Japanese rather than making fun of automated translation and enjoying the goofy results. Anyway, glad you re-posted it. It's a hoot!

It was about a year ago that I saw her, and she seemed quite well. Very fine woman. I didn't realize until then that she was known as a peace activist.
