My parents are such god damn fucking retards! Fuck them!!!!! I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHETHER I GO TO SCHOOL THIS FALL! IT'S NOT WORTH THEIR FUCKING IGNORANCE!
A) You do give a fuck, and B) If you really want to do something (like, say, studying Japanese to certification level), don't let anything your parents say make you feel like you shouldn't/it won't be worth it/you're not worth it. Calm yourself down before making any big decisions, and remember that it's your life and not theirs.
I'll grant that we--that I--overreacted. I'm sorry about that, and so is Ann. But you've got some serious thinking to do, and you don't seem to be doing it.
You seem not to grasp why we are worried--extremely worried--about the fact that you signed up for 18 credits, when you are on academic probation, a hair's breadth from losing your eligibility to attend the U. In order to keep open the option to take a class that your academic advisor thinks you should not take. Given that you utterly melted down in your senior year in high school because of taking 19 college credits against the advice of your parents and your academic advisor. Following a well-established patter of setting outrageous goals for yourself and being broken up when you fail to meet those goals.
I'd like to stay calm and simply offer gentle reminders when I see you making bad decisions. That's what I would like to do. But I get worried and overreact, get angry.
