job hunting for the lazy

I just applied to IKEA...
I want to move to Germany... If I ever break up with Patrick, I think I'm going to go full-steam-ahead with moving to either Germany or Canada. (Of course, full-steam-ahead with moving to Canada consists of doing exactly what I'm doing now, only taking French and not getting a boyfriend.)
*thinks of more places that I can apply to online*

Will try that again. They're never hiring, though... :(

That reminds me... I think I signed up for an IKEA fanlisting too... *re-gets code and curses not having saved them the first time*

Never, ever hold back from what you really want to do just because you have a boyfriend.

If it's one or the other, I need to decide which is more important. And right now he's more important.

Ach, ever since I was in eighth grade I've wanted to move to Germany. I still want to at least visit, but I wouldn't move, due to the same situation you're in. Although I still want to visit it really badly.

But there is still that allure that I have... where I want to go there for college, and everything. Practice law there, and just... completely move there and be a citizen and get into German politics. For some reason American politics don't phase me, but German politics I find AMAZING! Or maybe I just like their people better. o_o; In either case, I doubt I'll ever fulfill that dream, but I suppose that's alright.

Ah, your Rejected link is out of date. *resists making a fourth fanlisting update*

That's actually one thing keeping me from becoming a Canadian citizen... I don't want to lose my German citizenship. Who invented decisions, anyway?

[identity profile] kaserne.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
You have German citizenship? That's really awesome!

I wish you could have like.. dual citizenship but not just by the whole one parent but in a different country, etc. ordeal.

Yeah, I'm a dual American/German citizen.

You know what would be cool? If I could, like, exchange my American citzenship for a Canadian one, keeping my German citizenship. That would be WAY awesome.

I was thinking that when I read your last comment! I don't see why you couldn't aside from the fact that I don't think it's a process made up yet. Though, for future refrence if either of us get into position of power, I don't find anything horrible about it ^^

Well, I think the idea is that if you're really serious enough about becoming a full member of a nation, you should be serious enough to give up your old one, or else your loyalty in times of war, etc., would be questioned. Kind of like how naturalized citizens can't become president of the U.S.

<3 Ikea

We have a serious Ikea addiction problem over here. Every single item of furniture in the living room, and most in the bedroom, are from Ikea. All we're missing is the yin-yang side table.

Here's hoping you get that job - or any job you want, really.

If I ever get my own apartment, EVERY piece of furniture I my parents don't give me, you know where I'm getting it from!
