seems joining a fansubbing group is easier than I thought

Guess who's the newest member of FoT Fansubs? ^_^

However... As for what you can do for the group.. we'll figure that one out shortly. (insert "Twisted Evil" emoticon that doesn't work in LJ here) Eeep. ^_^; :-P

Also:
Nastassja,
it was so nice to see you again and spend some time with you yesterday (even if I was not able to express my feelings in person). I hope we can do this again soon. I miss seeing you :-(
Hope you are having a good day.
Love Mom

Yay. ^_^

Honestly, it probably varies a lot from group to group. This is a fairly small group, not releasing anything that's terribly popular at all (Sailor Stars and Sasami: Mahou Shoujo Club). Go check out the forums of a couple fansubbers and see if they have a recruitment area and find out what they're asking for. Actually, if you're interested in Hana Yori Dango, it seems that SARS is looking for people to fill a number of positions. You should give it a try!

Yeah, except their most recent post saying they need translators was last April... Doesn't do me a whole lot of good, does it? I suppose I could contact them anyway, but it sounded like they were looking more for native speakers. I'm a little confused as to how that works anyway... Do you have to listen to the show and directly translate it, or is there a script? Because if it's the former I'm not sure I would be able to do it very well...

You know about as much as I do, Tasha. ^_^;
