tsukikage: (ヒカ碁 - YOU SUCK!)

Not liking Squeenix yet.

Whose great idea was it to make it impossible to skip cut scenes and the like in FF-X? I especially loved dying while being attacked by those water creatures and having not reached my first save point. Between Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy X, I guess I should just learn that these things are not to be played when you have just a half hour on your hands. :(

[EDIT: Apparently I missed my first save point. Go me.]

the little things

I really should have asked the librarian to let me write my own name on my library card. Being the anal-retentive person I can be at times, I really hate that the name goes out of the box. Like, it raises my blood pressure a bit every time I see it.
Maybe some day I'll learn to get over stupid things like this. Goodness knows it would make me a lot happier.
Anyways, I just renewed all the books I checked out three weeks ago, since I only got through 1.5 of them. There's actually some text from one of the Japanese history books I got that I want to post here, but not now. Maybe this evening.

Awesome Icon

To those who have seen both the first season of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Avatar, I must point out [livejournal.com profile] hitokiridirk's icon.
That. Is. Awesome.
Man did I sleep, though. I'd say about two hours? Although it also felt longer than it was. I was thinking it had been more like four. And I didn't really drag myself out of bed because I was ready to, either. More because I knew I had to. Weird. Well, doing homework has always made me sleepy, just as being a fangirl tends to keep me up until the wee hours. It's really a horrible set of effects.

And today I had the opportunity to say "I lost my memory".

I just installed the memory [livejournal.com profile] eurohybrid62 got me. I still can't play the higher-end video files I tested out (although there may be a threshold here and I went just a bit too far), so I'm thinking for that I should get a new video card. However, my computer is now delightfully non-sluggish. I love how quickly programs open now. :) I still haven't tried to burn anything yet - I'll do that tonight after all my torrents finish. Well, tonight, anyway - it'll be a while until they finish.
