beautiful autumn day... and nothing I can do

So, I had a wonderful time with [livejournal.com profile] darkjing and Fritzy (sp?) last night. Ended up crashing at his place, actually, which was kinda fun. :) We got two buckets of Papa Murphy's cookie dough and three family size pizzas (one for each of us), and a 2-liters each of Pepsi and root beer. I relatively promptly dropped the root beer and it exploded all over. ^^; Unfortunately, I forgot my bag of pizza at his house. :( (I also wanted to bring a bucket of cookie dough, but I that wasn't for granted, so I won't feel too disappointed about that. Oh, and guess what he got me for my birthday? The Peacemaker Kurogane thinpack. Nastassja is a very happy Nastassja today. ^___^
The weather is really so amazing today, and I really want to do something with my family (or with Patrick, but let's try to put that out of my head for now...) like go for a walk or go to the pool or have a picnic at the falls, but... They're out right now and I don't know when they'll be coming back, plus even if they come back in time they may be too tired or have too much to do. :-/
I really don't want to go to work tonight... I just want to live out this amazing day without having that on my mind, even if living it out ends up only consisting of cleaning and studying.

Ah, yeah, the 'rents just got home, and turns out they're busy after all. :-/

I should get some sort of tea ceremony-ish icon...

Oooh, aaah...
Of course, as much as I want to practice and do well in the class itself, I shouldn't really be getting into practice materials this serious (i.e., expensive) unless I decide to stick with it for longer than the duration of these 15 weeks. I did, however, borrow a handkerchief from my dad to practice folding the fukusa ("a square, silk cloth used for ritual cleaning of tea equipment and for handling hot lids with", sayeth Wikipedia) with, though he was quite confused as to why since I didn't really know how to explain it. I wonder if there are any tea ceremony schools in the Twin Cities. Anyways, I joined [livejournal.com profile] urasenke_fans for now in case I have any questions I want to ask them.
Yay, practice tomorrow! And yay, [livejournal.com profile] akaneko and [livejournal.com profile] yumenohoshi being in it!
Boo, work tonight. :(
