"Today, this metropolitan region of 2.6 million is unique because it is anchored by two central cities of almost equal size. While they may be known as the Minnesota Twins, the two cities, separated mainly by the Mississippi River, are anything but identical."

*bursts out into laughter*
While they may be known as the Minnesota TwinsUnless I'm more out of the loop than I thought I was, this author definitely didn't grow up in Minnesota. Wow.
(For anyone not in the know,
Minneapolis-St. Paul is called the Twin Cities, and our baseball team is the Minnesota Twins.)
Also, unless the
other twin cities I'm thinking of aren't of as nearly equal size... The uniqueness bit is totally off too. Maybe if they said "relatively unique".
Also, once again we are out of chilled sugary caffeine. :-/ And I try to save it for when I need it, too. Like now. ^^; God knows I love green tea, but it just doesn't do the trick like pop does.
