On the first day of Ramadan in 1998, Mikati dressed in an abaya and went to the mall. “I felt more exposed than if I was naked,” she said. But whatever defensiveness she felt soon gave way to a distinctly Islamic female identity. “I avoid fashion entirely—how much more liberated and feminist can I be?”

Also, the 2nd OP to Full Moon wo Sagashite, "Rock'n Roll Princess", is terrible. I dunno... Maybe it'll grow on me.

My room is so clean, it's insane! I still want to do some more dusting, and some stuff has yet to find a home, but I'm really happy. I mean, I honestly feel that I can have guests over and not only not be ashamed, but be somewhat proud. It only took about 10 hours, too! (That's really good for me - I wasn't being sarcastic.)
Also, Nicole? Quatre's left hand chipped a bit. :( I still need a Heero and Duo, y'know?
And to Margaret: I found your Christmas present. Lemme know when I can come over and give it to you, as a Thanksgiving present I suppose.

Whee, so happy!

Anyways, now to take a shower, and then check the Metro Transit website and call mom to tell her when I'll arrive.
